Paul-Antoni Bonetti enjoys incorporating the sounds of hip-hop, rap, rock, jazz, and electronic dance music into his compositions for orchestra and choir. This creative process became the focus of his PhD in composition at the Elder Conservatorium University of Adelaide. He is in demand as a secondary and tertiary educator and has written and produced music and educational video resources for organisations such as the Australian National Curriculum and Australian Society of Music Educators.
Bonetti has been performed and commissioned by ensembles such as the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Adelaide Chamber Singers, Brisbane Chamber Choir, National Youth Choir of Australia, and The Australian Voices. He is also active as a singer, songwriter, and producer of many contemporary music recordings.

Wake Up! |
Wake Up! is a rhythmic and energetic piece that re-imagines the choir ensemble as a contemporary band. Amongst the global frenzy of contemporary culture, hip-hop and urban music has become the ‘folk music’ that resonates strongly with our current generation. This piece captures the vibrancy of those rhythms and melodies through the imitation of driving hip-hop beats and vociferous rap vocal.
